Aotearoa Digital Recovery Platform

Current Mahi: Digital strategy, user research analysis & co-design

The Aotearoa Digital Recovery Platform is still in design. Represented here by a concept image of a hand holding a glowing phone in the dark, with distant lights.

The challenge

A passionate founder came to VL Studio with a vision: a digital recovery platform for Aotearoa that genuinely supports people in recovery and the whānau around them. The kaupapa needed a clear strategy and a credible business case before it could move forward.

Getting this right meant listening first, and building on the real experiences of the people the platform is for.

What we did

During the Discovery phase, the founder’s face-to-face interviews surfaced insights that shaped the strategy and business case VL Studio developed.

The mahi now moves into the next phase: a human-centred design process grounded in Te Whare Tapa Whā and guided by co-design with lived-experience voices and Māori communities.

The result

This project is underway. As it progresses we’ll share more about the approach and the outcomes.

We have prepared a PDF overview of the kaupapa. If you would like to receive it, leave your details in the form below and we will be in touch. We will only use your details to send the overview and follow up personally. We will not add you to any mailing list.
